Powell.Livery supports the Porsche Museum with the restoration of the iconic 1987 Super Cup PDK car.

This fascinating and extensive restoration took the museum, working in their Weissach based workshops, more than one year to complete. To apply the iconic my 1987 Shell / Dunlop livery again, after more than 35 years was a wonderful experience.

Hans Stuck is reunited with 'his' car again for the first time since 1987.

4 Historic inspired liveries for the Cayman

01. We all know the iconic 917 with its Hippy design, designed by the late Dick Soderberg - I worked for him for several years - who also created the Pig and most likely the Martinis. My lime green on white on this black car is certainly eye catching.

02. JPS never actualy sponsored a works car in that period but I have added it here as it captures the time and still looks modern.

03. Martini, possibly the most iconic of all 917 designs has been re-defined with my modern interpretation. This design has been wrapped several times and is available as a digital wrapping package for the special price of 645.00

04. Shell / Dunlop. The 1987 Porsche 962-09 - which we recently restored with the Porsche museum - is one of my favorite liveries. Even in 1987 I design a variation for a Porsche 944 Turbo cup car ( Both cars can be usualy seen in the Porsche museum.)and this is how I feel a version could look on a Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

"Motorsport, Car Design and engineering have always been my passion"

It all began at school where I fascinated by the arts & crafts and anything technical. Then continued at the world famous RCA, Royal college of Art in London, where I studied automotive and industrial design. Photography was a third subject.

I joined the Porsche design and development centre at Weissach near Stuttgart. Here I worked on automotive - Porsche 959, 911, 928 -, Industrial design - Airbus A310 cockpit - and many iconic motorsport projects.

The 90‘s were spent at the
satellite research centre of the BMW group known as BMW Technic. Our mission was to be innovative and look ahead. I designed several stunning show cars and ran various advanced design projects for BMW Technic during this time before becoming head of design.

The next ten years were spent in the BMW Group, main production design studios, firstly running concept car development before forming the exterior detail design studio - lighting, wheels and engine bay design - handling all BMW production and show car projects.

In the area of Livery design - a field where I have immense experience - we are currently working on track-day cars, Carrera Cup, historic and iconic projects for the Porsche Museum.
